Students work independently in a fun and accepting environment. Students in the club are asked to bring their own materials, if possible.
If interested you may contact Mrs. Reiner at nreiner@egsd.net.

It will rehearse and perform age/ability appropriate repertoire, which will include the following styles: Swing, Ballad, Jazz, Rock and Latin.
The Jazz Ensemble will be comprised mostly of the following instruments: Alto Sax, Tenor Sax, Bari Sax, Trumpet, Trombone, Piano, Guitar, Bass Guitar and the Drum Set. The Jazz Ensemble will present several concerts throughout the school year along with the East Greenwich High School Jazz Ensemble.
National Junior Honor Society (NJHS)
Membership in the National Junior Honor Society is based upon excellence in five areas: scholarship, leadership, service, citizenship, and character. To be eligible for consideration for membership, students must have an overall A- (4.5) average (scholarship). Seventh and eighth grade students who maintain that academic standing after the second marking period are invited to submit a packet of materials for review. This packet allows students to identify activities, awards, honors, and experiences demonstrating excellence in, and commitment to the areas of leadership, service, citizenship and character. A committee of faculty members reviews student packets. Applicants with incomplete packets will be denied consideration.
Newspaper Club - "Lancer Letter"
The Lancer Letter is our online newspaper. All students are welcome to join at any point in the year. We are always looking for students that enjoy writing and want to enhance their skills! We share information on current events, Cole events, interesting tidbits, and interviews. We also include creative pieces and comics that students want to share. We meet every other Thursday after school from 2:30-3:30pm. There are specific meeting dates on our website: lancerletter.weebly.com
Please email Mrs. Ratigan if you have any questions or want more information at cratigan@egsd.net
Student Council
The Student Council meets after school on Tuesdays in room 131. Student Council is open to all middle school students, and you can join at any point in the year. We would love your help in planning school spirit events, community service projects, and fundraiser competitions throughout the school year.
For more information email Mrs. Baccari at kbaccari@egsd.net
Yearbook Club
The Cole Yearbook Club works on creating the school yearbook for all to enjoy. Members of the club get involved in taking photos of their fellow classmates, editing and uploading photos, and designing the yearbook pages on our online software. We are always looking for students interested in photography and graphic design, but you don't need to be experienced in those areas to join. Everyone learns new skills and enhances what they already know. All students are welcome to join at any point from November to April. Meetings will be every other Thursday after school from 2.30 - 3.30. You will need to bring your Chromebook to each meeting. We start in November!
