Any student interested in trying out for a VARSITY SPORT must complete an Assumption of Risk form AND register for Athletics at Cole Middle School. Students that are planning on participating in an Intramural, Unified, or Club sport do NOT need to complete the Assumption of Risk form and do not need to register.
Registration opens on July 1st and will close on August 22nd at 3:00 p.m., please do not wait to sign up!
Cole Middle School’s previous registration platform has been bought out by Arbiter. As a result, all families will need to set up a new account for every student athlete; if there are multiple athletes in a family only one account needs to be made.
Please mark your calendar and do not wait to sign up, the process may take longer this year due to the new platform.

Key steps and considerations:

Complete all the necessary information in the portal. Note, the process may take longer this year, so be sure to do this early!

Upload a physical within the last 13 months.

Complete an Assumption of Risk (AOR) form if you are playing a sport for the first time.

Know that the Athletic Director (AD) cannot and will not accept any paper copies or email attachments of required paperwork. All documentation must be uploaded to the portal.

Secure a notarized signature.

Upload to Arbiter account prior to tryouts.

Expect an email from the coach the weekend before tryouts outlining the time and date of tryouts.

Plan accordingly, as tryouts will begin on August 18th, and all necessary paperwork must be completed and uploaded to Arbiter before tryouts.

Be aware that Athletic Director Casie Rhodes will not be available until Monday, August 4 and can be contacted by phone at 401-398-1562 or crhodes@egsd.net with questions unrelated to the registration process. Direct all registration questions to Arbiter support.
Please note that the implementation of Arbiter is a new process. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we navigate and become familiar with it together.
Boys/Girls Basketball will be offered this winter. When signing up, please only sign up for Girls or Boys Middle School Basketball.
